I am back. I have been gone for quite some time. As they say, life has gotten in the way and I have been more than overwhelmed. Am I ready to be back in the swing of things? Perhaps, yes. Maybe. I don’t know.
I was lucky to have attended my FIFTEENTH Wrestlemania, and as usual – it did not disappoint. The show lacked a lot, yet gave so much so we cannot complain. We got our money’s worth – as we had our butts in the seats for over seven hours. Yes, that’s right. SEVEN hours.
Wrestling has been a mainstay in my life, the thing I can always count on to make me happy, to make me smile – for over twenty years. It has been a blessing to me. I will never, EVER diminish the importance of it to me. My best friend Christine has been by my side for this wild, wacky and wonderful journey. The memories we have are precious beyond compare. I am lucky.
My family suffered a loss this spring. And as my beautiful boy JB continued to battle and struggle with cancer…we got a miracle. Two weeks ago, after coming home from training at my new Cashier job at a local supermarket – I heard a noise. Down in the basement. Went down there, no one answered. Came up, watched the news and heard the noise again. I decided to give it a final shot – said a few words, and as I did – it must have sounded real – legit – and before my eyes, the tiniest kitten, one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen – came out from underneath an old, beaten up dresser. He was (and is) gorgeous…walked a bit, not steady…but strong. I could not believe my eyes.
Fast forward to now – Malenky is purr-fect! He purrs. He pees. He poops. And following in the footsteps of at least his three human brothers – he sleeps through the night! I never, ever in my life thought I would be the parent of SIX felines. But, I am happy and I could not picture it any other way. My life is blessed. Beyond compare. Thanks, God…
