…ok, so maybe LOVE is a strong word. Laundry is one of the household jobs I do that I really don’t mind at all. I like the organization and sorting, and the clean smell of the house as it’s being done. I even enjoy folding it, putting it in all the proper piles. What I don’t enjoy doing is putting it away. My ex-husband used to say I hated this part of the job because we all had too much (especially me and the kids). He may have been partially right. Now though, that’s not the case since it is only Jeff and I, and we are organized for the most part. I still don’t like putting it away.
Thinking of ways to earn more money for my wants and needs, basically our daily living expenses – I came up with an idea. Why don’t I offer to do laundry for others? I had thrown this idea around in my head for a while, and last week while at the supermarket I saw a small ad on the community bulletin board. I liked what I saw. The woman and her advertising seemed very professional, but I noticed that what she was offering seemed a bit too expensive. This was in an area not close to where I live, so the fact that I’m deciding to do basically what she’s doing won’t impact her in any way really. No dirty pool on my part.
I am currently in the middle of getting my so-called business up and running. I imagine it will take a while, as I have no idea what I’m doing. All I know is I enjoy doing something a lot of people don’t like and feel is drudgery. HAPPY WASHING AND DRYING!
